Others are so familiar that we no longer notice them. They are the patterns of thought we continually return to, the ways we respond to disappointment, the routines that quietly shape our priorities, and the practices that slowly become our character. Psalm 23 reminds us that our Good Shepherd does not simply point us toward the right path and hope we find our way. He lovingly guides us there. The encouraging truth is that no matter what paths have shaped us in the past, we are not destined to stay on them forever. By God’s grace, we can begin walking new paths that lead us toward the life He desires for us.
