Rest

Many people live with a quiet assumption that peace is always one step away. If one more problem were solved, one more bill were paid, one more goal were reached, then rest would finally begin. Yet life shaped by “more” never arrives at enough. The finish line keeps moving. Desire keeps multiplying. What looked like freedom slowly becomes exhaustion. Psalm 23 confronts that restless way of living with a stunning declaration: “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” This is not denial of hardship. It is an invitation into a new identity. Those who belong to God do not live from emptiness, panic, or scarcity. They live from the care of a Shepherd.
